Regulations and strategy

Yes. All short-term rental properties in Madrid must hold a valid Vivienda de Uso Turístico (VUT) licence from the Comunidad de Madrid and, since July 2025, must also be registered on Spain’s national STR registry via the Ventanilla Única Digital.
